Ayodhya Ram Mandir – History Of Ram Mandir, Political Disputes

History Of Ram Mandir: The Shree Ram is the most-worried character in Hindu mythology. In Hinduism, the Shree Ram represents peace and patience. His birthplace is Ayodhya, which is one of India’s most visited places. The History of Ram Mandir and its construction is so wonderful to listen to and watch.

History Of Ram Mandir

In ancient times, there was a kingdom named Kaushal Pradesh, whose capital was Avad. After some time, it becomes Ayodhya. Shri Ram’s ancestor, Vivaswan’s son Vasyamanu, had established the kingdom of Ayodhya.

The legend states that Ayodhya was the capital of Kosala, ruled by Rama’s father, Dasharatha. As we know, the history of Ayodhya is closely linked to that of Rama, Sita, and Hanuman.

After Dasaratha, Ram ji became King of Ayodhya. Upon the death of Shree Ram, his son Kush took his place and reestablished the kingdom of Ayodhya. Over time, Ayodhya transformed into a forest and was inhabited only by saints.

One day, Emperor Vikram Aditya was hunting in the forest, and suddenly he reached Ayodhya. He notices this place has a positive feeling, and after that, he meets one of the saints and asks him, ‘Where am I?’ then the saint replies, ‘This is Ayodhya Shree Ram Janam Bhoomi.’ After understanding everything, Vikram Aditya builds lakes, ponds, houses, and the most ethereal Shree Ram Mandir. The next generation maintains Shree Ram mandir and worships the god Shree Ram.

In the 16th century, Babur attacked Ram Mandir and destroyed it. After that, Babur built the masjid as a mark of Panipat, and its name is none other than Babri Masjid. In 1853, the British administration decided that Muslims would be allowed to worship in mosques, similarly to Hindus in courtyards.

Political Disputes

Hindus claim that Ayodhya is the birthplace of Ram, but Muslims disapprove of the claim because Babri Masjid was also built in the same spot.

In 1855, a man claimed in front of all that Hanuman Garhi had quietly demolished the mosque and destroyed everything. Muslims gathered to destroy Hanuman Garhi, but they weren’t allowed to enter or do anything. Hindus also raised their voices and came together to attack Babri Masjid, which was located nearby. Both religions were fighting with each other, and many Hindus joined together and decided to build the temple. This decision, however, was denied by the government.

After a long time, an organization named ABRM, also known as Akhil Bhartiya Ramayana Mahasabha, voiced an objection to the government’s not taking any action on this issue. As part of the ABRM, Saint Digvijay Nath organized a nine-day campaign for reading the Ram Charitra Manas. One of the Hindu workers entered the mosque and came outside with a statue of Ram and Sita. Ram and Sita’s murti settled down in the mosque on 22 December. Jawaharlal Nehru and Vallabha Patel showed the dis acceptance and wanted to remove the statue from the mosque.

In spite of the fact that Govind Ballabh Pant does not want the murti removed from the mosque, they have a strong reason for doing so. The reason is that the disputes among religions were not going to end after this decision. Fighting between the two religions will continue and become more difficult to resolve on a daily basis.

The government decided in 1950 that Muslims would no longer be allowed to worship here. Only Hindus are allowed to worship and pray for them here.

The Babri Masjid was demolished by activists from the Vishva Hindu Parishad on 6 December 1992.

In 2019, a verdict was issued that the Ram Mandir would be built in place of the Masjid.

Construction Of Ram Mandir

Construction of the temple began on August 5th, 2020. PM Narendra Modi also laid the foundation. Based on the construction of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir last year, the report indicates that the foundation is almost complete, and the statue is almost ready to be placed in the temple again. Stones are exported from Karnataka and Telangana for temple construction. This mandir is entirely made of pink stone imported from Rajasthan. The mandir was constructed with approximately 17000 granite stones.

Conclusion

Hindus and Muslims had to make a difficult decision because both sides had valid arguments. Hindus these days are very happy with the movement. However, those Muslims who are very disappointed will be blessed by both gods. No matter what problem we faced, God always told us to stay together without any problems. The government has a huge role in these disputes and religious issues. The new Ram mandir is eagerly awaited by many devotees.
